It seems to be sort of a grey area to me objectively, even if I am personally irritated that I have been thrust back into feeling like it's 1999 and I have popups on my PC. If you allow and rely on Windows updates to retrieve drivers, you might assume it would install this. I would argue that most users would actually want to have it installed and that it is only a subset of us power users who find this sort of thing problematic, so I am of two minds about this being pushed. That's irritating enough of course, but it's not malware as some might initially assume. The program manages and updates the firmware of all connected. It seems that Steelseries is pushing an installer executable via the Windows Update platform for anyone who has any Steelseries devices installed, but note that it is not actually installing it, it is only downloading an installer, placing it in the \Temp directory, and then running it so that it presents that window to you asking you to install it. Whether you use a PC or Mac, you can install the SteelSeries GG software to get the most out of the Arctis Nova Pro Wireless.
I have intentionally uninstalled Steelseries Engine and GG in order to use Equalizer APO with Peace Equalizer, and I am sure that other users of those will come along here at some point and arrive at this thread as well.
